​We collected our Data from both the State Department of Natural Resources and the United States Geological Service.​​​

We needed data for Slope, Environmental Sensitivity, Land Ownership and Elevation.

The DEM layer was downloaded from USGS, whilst trail data sets, polygon data of the Glaciers and slope data was downloaded from the State Department.

Also, Tom Britnaker, GIS Guru, was a valuable ally in the search for data.​

​We also used the Project proposal document sent to us by the Juneau Snow machine Club to determine the specific details regarding the road.
